of the Basra Organization for Mine Clearance is involved in a variety of critical activities to ensure the safety and clearance of mine-affected areas. Here is an overview of their most :important activities:

Technical Survey (TS):

Conducted to identify and define areas contaminated with mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO).
Example: A technical survey covering 10,675,883 m² was conducted in the Majnoon oil fields on 15/2/2022.

Mechanical Clearance (MC):

The organization uses advanced mechanical equipment like the MINE WOLF 240 to clear mines and UXO.
Example: A mechanical clearance operation on Shalamcha Shatt Al Arab Road covered 784,255 m² on 11/2/2022.

Quality Control (QC):

Ensures that cleared areas are free of mines and safe for civilian use.
Example: Several quality control operations were carried out, including a 1,158,371 m² operation in Shatt al-Arab on 21/11/2021.

Non-Technical Survey (NTS):

Involves gathering information about potential mine contamination through interviews and historical data without disturbing the land. Example: 11,514 m² of land was surveyed for the citizens of Shatt al-Arab on 30/11/2021.

Awareness Campaigns:

Educating the local population on the dangers of landmines and UXO.
Example: An awareness campaign was held in the Zubair ANajmee District on 22/11/2021.
